This program offers low cost spay/neuter pets whose owners have genuine financial need. It is designed to provide a spay or neuter procedure for one animal per household. SCAF plays a vital role in helping to control the animal population in the St. Croix County area. We realize the need exists for assistance in caring for our precious animal friends and keeping them healthy.
How the Program Works
Low-cost spay or neuter is offered to clients at a cost of $50 per animal for pets whose owners demonstrate genuine financial need. Pet owners pay the $50 fee directly to the vet clinic. SCAF subsidizes the remainder of the cost and pays for a rabies shot.
For our records, pet owners are asked to email to SCAF a quality photograph showing their pet prominently.
SCAF works with a network of local veterinarians who have reduced their prices for this low cost program. If the application is approved, clients are given a Spay/Neuter Certificate to redeem at participating veterinary offices throughout the area as listed below on this page and also on the certificate.
AMAZING PET FACT: Thanks to your support, SCAF has prevented the birth of over 40,000 unwanted puppies and kittens since our program began.
